Some things I picked up :)

OK so over the past week or two I've picked up a few different products that I've never tried before to test out. Here's what I think of them!

Lacura Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream & Night Cream

I bought these from Aldi. For those of you who don't know what Aldi is, it's basically this really cheap store where you can buy everything from cosmetics to groceries. The prices for these creams differs from store to store, but in the one in my town, these cost between €2-€3 each (can't remember the exact prices).

What incredible value!! I will admit I was very sceptical at first, but I had read so many good reviews and they were so cheap I thought "why not give them a shot?" And I'm so glad I did.

These creams are so moisturising, and after only a few days of using them my skin is super soft! I am prone to dry skin, but the few patches I have on my face have improved a lot!
The day cream includes: Peptide complexand Coenzyme Q10 and on the box it said it had SPF 6 and is ideal for use as a makeup base.
The Night Cream includes: retinol complex and coenzyme Q10, which helps fight wrinkles and keeps your face nice and smooth. (yes I'm only 20, but it's good to start early ;])

You get 50ml in each jar and a little goes a long way. I am so pleasantly surprised by these, as are many beauty gurus online who have compared the range to Estée Lauder and Clinique. I'll definitely be repurchasing these :)
If you don't have an Aldi near you, you can find these products on eBay. The only downside may be the fact that they have a pretty strong smell (Especially the Day Cream) But this really doesn't bother me at all.

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel

I found this in a pharmacy in town and had to buy it. I did research into Aloe Vera a while ago and I am amazed by the amount of things you can use Aloe Vera for. I'm very accident prone, so if I get a cut, burn, or scrape of any kind this can cure it. It's been pretty hot here the past few days and I got a little sunburnt but this gel cooled down the burn and soothed it so much!
I'm also using it on my chin where I am prone to breakouts because aloe can be used to cure acne, and I'm already starting to see results! I also have very chapped lips but if I apply a bit of aloe vera to them it makes them lovely and smooth :)
I'm going to try to use it as a conditioner next and definitely look into what else I can use it for, make them most out of it :)
It cost me €9.95

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade Fair

Oh my god, I LOVE this concealer!! I've tried Benefit, Mac and ELF concealers before and have never been too impressed with any, but this stuff is incredible. It makes my under eyes look so bright and helps me look so much more awake. It doesn't conceal blemishes completely but it certainly blends in well to make them a lot less noticeable. I had to get this picture from the internet, cos all the writing on mine has vanished, even though it;s only 2 weeks old!
It sent me back €6.50, worth every penny!

E.L.F Studio Cream Blush in Heartbreaker

I actually was sent this for free by e.l.f, because I won a competition on their blog :) Thanks e.l.f!
I love the consistency of this blush, it's very bouncy and soft, and it feels a lot like playdough. The packaging is super cute but a tad bulky.
The colour is quite versatile because you can add a little bit and blend it out for a lovely pinky tint, or you can build it up for a  really strong bright bold pink look. I use my fingers to apply a bit to my cheeks and then use my Stipple brush to blend it out. I wouldn't say it's my go-to blush (that would probably be Revlon) but I am really liking it and I'm going to experiment with it a lot more :)
It's worth €7.50

I also just bought an NYC Metro Quartet Eye Shadow in the shade Gothic Harlem but I haven't tried it yet as I've been busy the past few days and have been washing my brushes. Looking forward to trying it out though.
